Funding through Gifts

The Clark Cemetery Association is private and non-profit, composed entirely of family descendants or relatives  by marriage of those interred at Clark Cemetery. The Association has a Board of Trustees who protect, manage, maintain, and improve the Association-owned private Clark Cemetery in Eastern Parker County. Neither the Cemetery nor the Association have ever received any federal, state, county, municipal or corporate funds. It is funded solely by the families who, by inherited right are a part of the Association and have the privileges, duties, and use of the cemetery and its grounds. The Association is governed by a Board of Trustees who administer its ByLaws, conduct voting on changes at Annual Meetings at the Cemetery, and among who includes a Secretary and a Treasurer. All donations, income, and disbursements for expenses are disclosed to members at the Annual Meetings.

A Perpetual Care Fund

On April 25, 1970, the Trustees of Clark Cemetery Association unanimously voted to establish a fund for perpetual care of the cemetery. Today, the Board of Trustees of Clark Cemetery Association continues to preserve that fund, though greatly stressed by hard economic times. With the express purpose of preserving and maintaining the grounds, integrity, and improvements of Clark Cemetery in Parker County, Texas, the current fund was established from an initial small maintenance fund used to care for the grounds for over 50 years. The fund is maintained in local banks by the Clark Cemetery Association Treasurer who is a member of the Board of Trustees.
